365 Project Week 5

It’s scary to think we are in February all ready. Its been a week full of mud and chicken pox…..

25: On a Duke of Edinburgh walk and while waiting for my group I managed to capture this little Robin just sitting in the tree. He was great company at lunch time.

26: An evening trip with a playcentre and we travelled to a local beach for a fire and toasted marshmallows. This was the beautiful sunset we saw while we warmed by the fire.

27: I came home to a lovely husband who was busy making cakes. Caramel and pineapple upside down cake! Yummy.

28: My daughter came down with chicken pox this week. Thank goodness for my Mum who helped out and I had a sleepy child who didn’t miss the alarm clock going off in the morning.

29: Sour cherry sweets were much-needed after a very cold and wet paddling session in work. Sitting in a raft for the afternoon and being splashed with river water numerous times by teenagers wasn’t the greatest of days in sub-zero conditions.

30: With my daughter being ill we had Friday on the sofa and watched family films all together. I captured her and my husband holding hands while watching The Goonies. I love this shot.

31: Another Duke of Edinburgh walk and we went along the coastal path along Llantwit Major this week. However it must have been one of the most muddy walks I have ever been on. Lots of cleaning kit come Monday!

  1. On the one hand, here we are in February just about ready to start saving for Christmas again. What a week you had, poor you. Little one down with chicken pox and you splashed with icy water on your raft expedition as well as 2 D of E walks.

On the other hand toasted marshmallows on a beach with a fantastic sundown and home to cakes made by your husband. I think that evens out.
I hope you have a Great New Week and little one is off the itches pretty soon.

      Hi David,
A very cold week and the river water didn’t help my mood at all.
However the sun set at the beginning of the week was beautiful and sitting in front of a roaring fire was amazing.
      Thank you for looking in,
      Hope your well,

I am very lucky having a husband who does most of the cooking.
My daughter was so annoyed having chicken pox, she loves school and didn’t feel ill enought to be off. She’s getting better all ready, thank goodness.
      Thanks for looking in.

  3. Sorry to hear about the Chicken Pox, hopefully it will soon subside. Lovely photos. I haven’t seen many robins about this year but your photo of one captures it well. Cake and sour cherries-yum! #Project365

Hi, my daughter is all better now, I was really surprised how quickly she got better.
I’ve seen so many robins lately and was amazed he stayed so long for me to take a photo!

I’d recognise that hairy hand anywhere! I hope she’s beginning to feel a bit better, it’s not a nice thing to deal with. I do like toasted marshmallows, hope it wasn’t too cold at the time?

Thanks for linking up and there’s a new linky live at the moment.

    1. kim says:

Yes and thank you for not thinking that hand was mine!
Toasted marshmallows were lovely and luckily it wasn’t a cold night, which made the walk even nicer.
I’m really enjoying being a part of the 365 project, its making me take lovely photos.
